Silk Scarf | Poppy
In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row…
This scarf offers a contemporary way to wear a poppy on Remembrance Day, honouring both the tradition of remembrance and the quiet ritual of laying wreaths. Designed to be worn on 11 November and beyond, it allows remembrance to be carried with elegance and intention.
The artwork centres on a poppy wreath, a symbol long associated with commemoration, arranged in a circular form that subtly resolves into the shape of a cross, echoing the imagery of John McCrae’s poem. Drawing on First World War silk postcards and commemorative motifs, the design balances symbolism with refined beauty, creating a piece that is meaningful, timeless and wearable.
